North Shore Fertility Serving Couples in Chicago and Surrounding Areas
North Shore Fertility is an Illinois fertility clinic conveniently located in the Chicagoland area in Skokie and Schaumburg.
Our mission is to provide the best possible care for couples who are dealing with infertility in their quest to have a child. We focus on compassionate, individualized care as couples deal with the physical, emotional, and financial stresses associated with infertility. Our entire fertility clinic staff is attuned to the challenges faced by infertile couples.
Infertility is experienced by approximately 11% of couples at some time during their reproductive lives and this percentage increases as the female approaches her mid thirties. In "normally fertile couples" having regular intercourse, the chance of conceiving is 25% per month and most will become pregnant within one year. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine defines infertility as the inability to conceive after one year of regular intercourse. When you are over 35 the time is shortened to six months of trying.
While infertility was once considered a "female problem", we now know that half of all infertile couples will have a male infertility component. We take special care to make sure that the male receives a thorough work up prior to any female treatments.
Dr. Anne Borkowski is a fellowship trained infertility specialist focused on providing the highest quality of care in a compassionate and caring environment. She has extensive training and experience in all fertility treatments.
Our Illinois infertility clinic services include the diagnosis and treatment of infertility in both the male and female including the standard fertility tests to evaluate infertility.
We offer medical treatments such as Clomid, injectable fertility medications (FSH), intrauterine inseminations (IUI), and advanced reproductive technologies (ART) including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and preimplantation diagnosis (PGD).
We have a very successful donor egg program, which can help women with reduced ovarian reserve. We work closely with many egg donor agencies and sometimes patients provide known donors. Success rates for the donor egg program usually equal the rates for the donors age group. For example, if the eggs of a twenty year old are used in an IVF cycle with a 38 year old recipient, success rates equal the twenty year old age group.
We also have an egg freezing program for female fertility preservation. Your eggs are frozen while you are young, and fertile, stored until you are ready to conceive.
It is very important that infertility specialist be consulted early in treatment. Conception is most likely to occur when a couple is under the care of a fertility specialist and treatment costs are usually better controlled.
We understand the special needs of couples going through infertility and its treatments. We look at each and every patient as an individual, and tailor their treatments to each ones unique needs. We strive to make sure that every patient receives the personalized, individualized, and compassionate care that each deserves.
